Ketchikan State Troopers Make Assault and Warrant Arrest

    Juneau, AK (KINY) - On two separate incidents, Ketchikan Troopers arrested one for domestic violence and another for three arrest warrants related to drugs.

    In Ketchikan, State Troopers reported making an arrest on an assault charge. Wednesday afternoon they arrested 30-year-old James P. Washington of Ketchikan who had assaulted a family member at a home near the mile 4 marker of the South Tongass Highway.

    Washington was reportedly arrested without issues and taken to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was remanded on an Assault IV (DV) charge and held without bail.

    Ketchikan Troopers were able to arrest a resident that was wanted for three outstanding warrants.

    Tuesday evening, Troopers arrested 29-year-old Anna Taro of Ketchikan near the intersection of Austin Street and 2nd Avenue. Original charges involved Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and held on a $1500 bail.
