Man sentenced for prison contraband

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Chad Kreftmeyer, 30 was sentenced to four years in prison for promotion of contraband into Lemon Creek Correctional.

    Six drug charges were dropped in the case.  The incident occurred at Lemon Creek Correctional last December 16th.  

    Kreftmeyer was sentenced to two years suspended for another promotion of contraband charge filed on April 30th.

    He will also serve three years on probation.  The sentence handed down by Superior Court Judge Frank Pfiffner.

    Seven other people were charged with conspiring to bring heroin, methamphetamine, and suboxone into the prison in December of 2017.

    In another drug case Michael Miller, 39,  was sentenced to two years in prison for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree.
