Capital Transit limits bus capacity to nine

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Capital Transit will comply with a governor's order to prevent groups of 10 people or more of being close together.

They have decided to limit bus capacity to nine riders at one time.

They have also canceled the Express routes 5 and 6 for the time being.

They also added two bus routes.

Officials said residents should only use the bus for essential trips for healthcare appointments, pharmacy visits, grocery shopping, and employment at a critical job.

Capital Transit reminds riders that they should enter and exit using the rear door of the bus to avoid close contact with the bus driver.
