DHSS adds 47 new COVID-19 cases, 1 resident case in Juneau

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Department of Health and Social Services reported 36 new in-state cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday morning.

    The total of non-resident cases rose to 194 on Tuesday, a gain of 11.

    That makes for a total of 940 in-state cases so far.

    The 36 in-state cases are residents of eight communities: Anchorage (21), Fairbanks (5), Seward (4), Palmer (2), Eagle River (1), Juneau (1), Soldotna (1), and Valdez-Cordova Census Area (1).

    There are 400 active cases with 526 recovered.

    The statewide death toll remains at 14.
