Six new cases of COVID-19 confirmed of Alaska residents today

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - The state total of COVID-19 cases reached 761 Monday with an additional 110 cases of non-residents, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services said.

    The daily report showed 491 people have recovered and 258 active cases.

    62 people have been hospitalized during the pandemic.

    There have been no recent deaths due to the virus.

    The daily report also showed over 91 thousand people have been tested.

    13 people are currently hospitalized or considered a person under investigation for having the virus.

    Juneau's case total remained at 39 with four active cases.

    Ketchikan has 21 cases and Sitka 11 cases.

    The 30 to 39 age group had the most cases, 19.32 percent.

    The 20 to 29 age group had 18.66 percent of the cases.

    The 50 to 59 age group had 16.43 percent of the cases.

    Anchorage has 355 cases, 135 active, the Kenai Peninsula has 120 cases with 36 active, the Fairbanks Northstar Borough has 84 cases with 18 active, and the Mat-Su Valley has 57 cases with 21 active.
