Southeast adds 3 new resident cases of COVID-19

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported two new resident cases in Juneau and one new resident case in the Yakutat-Hoonah-Angoon region.

    The Thursday report showed 84 new resident cases and 36 new non-resident cases.

    The report showed 2,797 total cases and 681 non-resident cases since the pandemic began.

    The report also listed 885 cases as recovered. There were 1,970 active cases in the state today.

    One new death was reported, bringing the total 23 so far.

    A total of 497 inpatient hospital beds are available statewide, with 70 ICU beds open.

    There are 257 ventilators available, with three patients currently being ventilated in the state.
