Sitka, Alaska (KINY) - Local grocery stores and pharmacies in Sitka are offering delivery and curbside pick up.

At the March 24 meeting of the Assembly of the City and Borough of Sitka, a resolution was adopted ordering people in the borough to “hunker down.”

The resolution was effective immediately and remains in effect through April 14.

As a result, AC Lakeside has begun offering delivery and pick-up options, and Seamart is offering to do the shopping for customers and meet them at a covered area to transfer groceries to their car.

Harry Race Pharmacy is limiting the store to seven shoppers at one time while offering curbside pick-up and delivery, and White’s Pharmacy is limiting the store to one shopper and offering delivery.

The SEARHC pharmacy is offering delivery and mail service.
