Convicted thief sentenced to prison

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Court records show Dale Reeves, 50, pled guilty to theft in the second degree and was sentenced to four years behind bars.

Superior Court Judge Daniel Schally suspended 18 months of the prison sentence and imposed three years probation in the case.

Juneau Police said Reeves was arrested after a search of his garage turned up a stolen Alpacka raft, a Trek bicycle, and a snowblower.

Police said the items recovered were valued at over $4,000.

Reeves was also charged with violating his conditions of release since he was out on bail from another court case and one of his conditions of release was not to commit any new crimes.

The other criminal case against Reeves involved over $5,000 in stolen property that had been recovered from his same garage.
