COVID-19 update 10-22

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - 26 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Juneau today, by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, 25 residents, and 1 nonresident. There are about 205 active cases, according to Juneau Public Health, 66 cases are in those age 18 or under, and 49 cases are under 12.

    Currently, 5 people are hospitalized at Bartlett regional hospital for the virus.

    Statewide, 877 people were identified with COVID, 861 residents, and 16 nonresidents.

    The DHSS also reported 5 resident deaths and one non-resident death, an Anchorage man in his 50s, an Anchorage man in his 70s, a Bethel Area woman in her 80s, a Fairbanks woman in her 70s, an Anchorage man in his 80s, and a nonresident female in her 50s, diagnosed in Wasilla.
