Juneau skier rescued Saturday

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers were notified of an injured skier who ventured outside the boundary of Eaglecrest Ski Area.

    The call for help came into Troopers Saturday at 2:55 p.m.

    The skier was identified as 37-year-old Patrick Millard of Douglas who had a lower leg fracture.

    Juneau Mountain Rescue was contacted and responded with members of the Eaglecrest Ski Patrol.

    Millard was transported to the Eaglecrest lodge arriving at 10:21 p.m. where Capital City Fire and Rescue was waiting for transport to Bartlett Regional Hospital.
