Prince of Wales provides update on COVID cases

    Craig, Alaska (KINY) - Prince of Wales Island has reported six positive resident cases, three in Craig, and three in other communities and four non-resident cases, two in Craig and two in other parts of the Island.

    There have been 1,609 tests performed on the Island.

    Three people tested positive at the Ketchikan Airport Screening Station of non-residents on Prince of Wales Island.

    There are currently no active cases on the Island and 10 patients have recovered from the virus.

    Officials continued to strongly encourage residents to wear masks when in public, to wash and sanitize hands frequently, limit trips to public places when possible, and to maintain social distancing.
