Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The daily report from the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services found 42 new resident cases in nine different Alaska communities Tuesday.
The new resident cases included one in Douglas, 22 in Anchorage, one in Kodiak, five in Fairbanks, four in Wasilla, one in Utqiagvik, five in the Bethel Census Area, one in Bristol Bay, and two in the Kusilvak Census Area.
There was one new nonresident case in Ketchikan.
The daily report showed Alaska has had 6,395 resident cases. 2,193 residents have recovered and 4,158 cases are active.
There have been 246 hospitalizations and 44 deaths in the state.
The total of nonresident cases is 918 with 709 presumed active and 209 recovered.
There have been 407,124 tests administered in the state.
In the past week, the positive test rate is 2.11 percent.
42 hospital patients are currently COVID positive.
The state reported 866 inpatient hospital beds are in use and 572 are available. 88 intensive care unit beds are in use with 65 available. There are 29 ventilators in use and 257 available.
Juneau reported a total of 337 cases with 35 currently active.
