GCLL All Star Teams Ready for Tournaments

    The Gastineau Channel Little League Softball and Baseball All Star teams have been selected and tournaments begin this week.

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Gastineau Channel Little League baseball and softball All-Star teams have been selected and are ready to begin tournament play.

      The GCLL Majors Softball All Stars begin their tournament action today in Ketchikan. Action continues through Sunday.

      The Major Softball All Stars are Cassie Chenoweth (Kimbee Homes/Latitude 58-Comets), Kiara Galletes-Swafford (Southeast Mine Supply-Wild), Lily Hayes (Wild), Aurora Lee (Comets), Blythe Lockhart (Wild), Sadie Lockhart (Wild), Hazel Metzgar (Wild), Riley Morehouse (Comets), Ryann Oliva (Wild), Keira Payne (Comets), Alexa Scarano (Wild), Brynn Wheeler (Comets) and Taylor Williams (Wild). Manager is Kara Lockhart and coaches are Kacy Lockhart and Sharla Hayes.

      The GCLL Minors Softball All Stars head to Ketchikan for tournament play on July 13-18. The Minors Softball All Stars are Trinity Bean (Western Auto Marine - Velocity), Ashlynn Beedle (Shaw Dental - Wildcats), Brooklynn Boyden-Collison (Wildcats), Eden Boyden-Collison (Wildcats), Taylor Brinkman (Wildcats), Tanelleice Green (All American Home Service - Star), Porter Love (Wildcats), Maisey Mar (Ikes Fuel - Growlers), Cora Morris (Growlers), Coralynn Nelson (Wildcats), Victoria Petrie (Wildcats), Katelyn Sulser (Wildcats) and Ashlynn Zura (Star). Manager is Aaron Mar and Coaches are Maryann Love and Suzanne Morris.

      Juneau will host the Minors Baseball All Stars Tournament July 13-18 at Miller Field. Juneau East, Juneau West and Ketchikan will compete.

      The GCLL Juneau West (Black) Minors All Stars are Marquis Lim (Juneau Pizza - Red Sox), Bridger Lockhart (Southeast Electric - Grasshoppers), Mitch Host (Jared Erickson DMD - Storm), Zack Ritter (Grasshoppers), Eli Hayes (Grasshoppers), Hunter Ridle (Grasshoppers), Colt Winkelman (Grasshoppers), Elias Lockhart (Grasshoppers), Landon Love (Storm), Quinton Burick (MD Constructoors - Scrappers), Mikhail Venechuk (Sandvik Mining - Emeralds) and Eliason Randolph (Grasshoppers). Manager is Richard Hayes and coaches are Michele Ritter and John Randolph.

      The GCLL Juneau East (Red) Minors All Stars are Rawley Cox (First National Bank Alaska - Lugnuts), Colin Daniels (Scrappers), Andrew Erickson (Ikes Fuels - White Sox), Fernando Garcia (Scrappers), Tycier Green (Scrappers), Max Hayes (Lugnuts), Wyatt Hickock (Lugnuts), Landry Kisser (Action Appliance Repair - Orioles), Gabe McGuan (Lugnuts), Morgan Pegues (IBEW Local 1547 - Red Wings), Andrew Troxel (Lugnuts), Kavan Workman (Emeralds) and Ethan Marsh (Storm). Manager is Matt McGuan and coaches are Sara Garcia, Tom Pegues and Byron Hayes.

      The GCLL Majors Baseball All Stars travel to Sitka for tournament action July 17-24. The team is bolstered with talent from Joshua Beedle (Ikes Fuels - White Sox), Charlie Begenyi (Orioles), Keaton Belcourt (White Sox), Brenner Harralston (Juneau Pizza - Red Sox), Parker Katasse (Orioles), Isaac Kirsch (Coppa - Nationals), Kamden Kissner (Orioles), Gavin Kohan (White Sox), Henry Maier (Nationals), Micah Nelson (Red Sox), Vinny Nizich (Nationals), Jamison Randolph (Red Sox) and Bode Winkelman (Orioles). Manager is Jaysen Katasse and coaches are Jaime Kisser and Ron Winkelman.
